STAYIN' ALIVE, STAYIN' ALIVE...BARELY!

What a week this has been! Teen son went back to school yesterday, and I slept all day. Seriously! It was such a relief to finally have a totally quiet house, with no one needing anything, and to just lay back down in bed and REST! So, today, I am feeling some better. I don't know which was worse; the flu or the chest cold/congestion that went along with it.

This flu has been a not-so-pleasant experience, but the comments and e-mails from all of you have been the bright spot in my days. I kept my son entertained by telling him that my blogger friends were thinking of him and hoping that he and I felt better soon, and he loved seeing the pictures of Hobbes on Lin's blog. I think that Helene and I better watch out....Teen Son is fast becoming Hobbes #1 fan. He is also crazy over that lump of stripey goodness!!

Sonya Ann left me a comment, and I jumped for joy, because, WA-HOO! She's back!! I mean, what is bloggy world without her and her funny-ness? And her Wicked Wednesday just-for-A.Marie videos!! HA!

Rose, Lola, Danesa (love the fan comment!), and Stacey also made me smile with their comments...it was just so nice to read some comforting words from all of my bloggy friends...it was like drinking a cup of tea...it warmed me right up!! :) For those of you I failed to mention, because I just can't think right now, don't think for one minute that you or your comments don't matter, because they do...trust me, they DO!

So, for now, everything is looking up...except for teen son's math grade, which is taking an nose dive down. His math grade has suffered due to missing 4 days of school. This flu picked a bad time to hit him, because the end of the 1st 9 weeks is today, and he has finals that he is just not prepared for. So, let's hope and pray that it all works out and he manages to pass his classes!

  1. I know how hard it is for kids to recover their grades after a few days of being sick! Yuck! Hopefully your son will have a few opportunities with extra credits to help make up the loss.

  3. Isn't it nice to have the house to yourself to be sick all ALONE?? I'm like an old dog when I'm sick--just leave me alone or I snap at everyone. Gees, nobody tells you how much it sucks to be the mom when you think about having kids. We can't get sick, EVER!

Glad Nurse Hobbes is helping everyone on the road to recovery. It's one extra large heaping spoon-o-love!
