WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND...OR NOT!

A very visible reminder of things to come is falling down from the sky as I type. Yes, it is snowing outside. Beautiful flakes, falling so gently, covering everything with a beautiful blanket of white. Ahhhh....everything is so quiet and still outside....makes me want to cozy up with a mug of coffee and a blanket.

Except, I can't.

Rude Awakening here.

I have to drive..yes, DRIVE! in this stuff today. That makes the whole "Christmas Wonderland" scene look like "Nightmare on Christmas Eve!" Granted, we aren't supposed to get a lot of accumulation today, but even a little bit on the roads is too much for me! HA! Teen daughter has her ortho appt. in the Bigger Town next to Big Town, and it is about 1 hr. 20 min one way.

Yuck.

But, lest I seem too negative here, I am going to focus on a positive. Bigger Town has a WALGREENS and it isn't too far from the ortho doctor! YAY! All of you know how much I love a good Wags trip! I'm hoping to score a few good deals there...I'll have to let you know if I do!

*************
Remember, a lot of people are not doing well, financially, this Christmas Season. Be sure and donate to your local food pantry. Another way to give is to go through your closets and find winter clothing, in decent condition, that you don't use any longer. Donate these to Goodwill or any other organization that accepts used items.

Have a bunch of free samples that you have received in the mail and really don't know what to do with them? Missions and shelters can use these items, along with clothing, bedding and toys.

Together, we CAN make a difference!

  1. I'm not a snow person so I get you! We are supposed to get up to 10 inches tonight! YUCK!!!
And I already purchased a Christmas dinner in a box for a needy family! That is probably the best gift I buy all year!

  2. It gets crazy here in vegas just when it rains, people don't know how to drive in it. Last year it snowed and it closes the whole town down!
I do love the snow, but I would not want to drive in it, like you said.
    Have a great week!
    Linda :)
