THIS IS ME, DRINKING MY WELCH'S BUBBLY LAST NIGHT! LOL

We are such Party Animals here....LOL....We "popped the cork" on the Welch's, poured ourselves a glass, and settled back to watch the Three Stooges marathon on the tv. Hubs lasted until about 10:00pm, but I lasted until 10:30pm. That is a record for me!
WOO-HOO! 2009 is now just a memory....2010 is here!!

This morning, I was up at 6:00AM!

Not by choice...

....but by necessity. Sheba decided that she needed to go potty and I heard her hop off of the bed. I knew that if someone didn't let her out, she would use my carpet as her potty! UGH!

So, since Hubby was still sleeping, I decided I'd better get up. I trudged down the stairs, with her prancing and dancing beside me, not very happy to be up at this hour. I opened the deck door and stepped outside, and the stillness of the new day, and a realization that it was a NEW YEAR, almost took my breath away.

It was so quiet, so still, so serene, and even though it was COLD (-1 ), I stood there for a moment and took in the beauty. The moon was still out and there was a soft glow everywhere. Even the cruncy snow looked (almost!) pretty at that moment. I could also hear music. It was playing ever-so-delicately, almost angelic, and for that particular moment in time, I got a clear picture of what "Peace on Earth" really meant.

I figured out that the lovely sound was coming from my neighbor's wind chime, but I prefer to think that it was the sound of angels singing.....I know....I know.....wistful thinking, but hey, a girl can dream, can't she!! :)

I have some cool new ads posted on the left side of my blog. CHECK THEM OUT!! I am sooo excited!

I am now a publisher with
cj.com.

I don't know much about it, but if you are looking to earn a little cash through blogging, click cj.com and check it out for yourself.

They don't have a referral program anymore, but I thought that this might interest some of you. There are tons of advertisers to choose from, and I was approved for 3 of them already: Smilebox, UPromise, and Plastic Jungle.

I'm really excited about Plastic Jungle. With this site, you can purchase discounted gift cards or sell unwanted gift cards.

Let me know how your New Years Eve went...Was it fun and exciting? Did you stay at home with the family or go out "on the town?" Fill me in on all the details?

  1. We made it all the way to 1:00. We spent the last 30 min. of 2009 and the first hour of 2010 watching reruns of That 70s Show. Now THAT's a party!

I had one little drink while we ate dinner and I still feel hungover today. I might as well have got sloshed...LOL!

    Happy New Year!

  2. Happy New Year! I spent my New Year at a church sing along and dinner-fun! Both the girls hung in there all the way till the end but went right to sleep as soon as the were buckled in the car. Today we all are moving slow so we have declared it as "Lazy Day" and are doing next to nothing.

I'm so glad that we are friends and that we will be able to share our stories together in the new year!
