Hope you all are having a wonderful Friday so far! We have the Homecoming Parade today (I only go to see teen son in the band!) and then the game tonight (again, teen son/band). It is going to be a sunny day, thankfully, with no rain in the forecast, so that'll make for a nice evening spent at the football field. What are your Friday plans?

I'm a band geek parent too! I only stay at the football game until after half time, then I"m OUTTA THERE!
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny how everyone who is a football fan thinks that everyone is out there, freezing their behinds off, to see the game! I've got news for them! LOL
ReplyDeleteI was talking to this Mom a few weeks ago, and the band was getting ready to do their thing. I said to her, "I'm so excited, my son is out there." And, she looked me and said, really excitedly, "Oh, cool, what number is he?" I looked at her really stupidly, thinking, "band kids now have numbers?" before I realized she thought I meant he was a football player! I said to her, "Ummm...my son is in the band," and she looked like a deflated balloon...her face fell and she kind of got this weird look and said, "oh, ah, okay, ah, what does he play?" I started laughing at her! lol
Dropping one child off at friends and taking a group of teenage boys to their school football game after feeding them tons of pizza :)
