I was over at Rants n Rascals this morning, reading about they met an angel at walmart in the pasta aisle and I remembered a bible verse that my Mom and Grandma used to quote to me, "Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." (Hebrews 13 1-2)

Times are tough and getting even tougher. There are people in our own communities who are having to make really hard choices: Food or medicine? Food or clothing? Food or house payment? There are 3 essentials that we all need: food, clothing, and shelter. Take away one of those three, and life starts becoming very miserable indeed.

I have been struggling with "wants vs needs" lately. I want alot of things but I don't need them. Seriously don't need them. I have enough , so why do I want more?

That is why it is good to be reminded that God has promised to supply me with my daily needs and that I don't need anything more than that. “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” I Timothy 6:6

How do you manage to resist the "wants vs needs in your own life?

  1. Wants vs needs... Wow.
I've got 5 other people in my house that NEED something RIGHT NOW! So priotizing their wants and needs take all my time. So much filters into the house that we DON'T need! It's a full time job just to weed things out.
I guess to sum it all up, I'm not doing so well with it.
