What do you think of the blog title today? Yes, Today I am TIRED, but it is a good tired. And, tomorrow, I'll be even MORE TIRED. Want to know why? Psssssst...I'll tell you.....it's called teen son and Marching Practice!
Whenever teen son is participating in marching practices, I am also there, because I help in the Band Office. Yesterday was Day One of the incoming Freshman Marching Practice, and although my son is going to be a Sophomore (I can't believe it!), he is helping with this year's practice. I was working on band uniforms yesterday, hanging the outgoing Seniors uniforms up, and getting the entire uniform closet back into shape, and I realized that marching band uniforms are HEAVY! UGH! How DO those kids wear them in hot weather? Anyway, I am heading back there this morning, from 9-12, and will do it all over again today. The things we do as parents..... HA! :)
I just love the blog Nicole's Nickels. Click on this link, Nicole's Nickels: Coupons in July Magazines; she has listed the coupons in some June/July magazines. I read where there are some great coupons in my Family Fun magazine... I haven't even looked through it yet. You bet I will this morning!!
Then, I read on her blog about the Staples rebates. I have never tried it, but after reading her post, I think that I just might do it this time. Nicole's Nickels: $1 Staples Deals. I love to get things for $1.00!!
I was reading a post by Jamie, over at sited and blogged, and she had this awesome recipe for a vacation meal! She says, "There are many different vacations where you could utilize freezer meals...anywhere you've got a stove or burner or campfire! Here is one of the meals that we will be serving on our vacation, go ahead and try it on yours!

Doesn't this sound incredibly yummy!!
After I typed and posted this, it got me thinking about vacations and other yummy meals to try. I'm going to try and find other yummy meals to make while "budgeting and on the go!" When I find some, I'll post them. Do you have any recipes that are fairly economical and easy to make? If so, feel free to share them!! :)

Your post brings back memories of high school! LOL! I was in drill team and we marched with the band, so spent many hot summer days at band practice. Since my sister and brother were in the band, I remember how heavy their uniforms were. My uniform was short and not heavy. LOL! I was much tinier then.
ReplyDeleteOur daughter Samantha was in the band in high school, too. Ahhh....memories.
Thanks, A.Marie, for a little trip down memory lane this morning.
