SUPPERTIME BLUES

I have come to the conclusion that I have officially hit a dead-end road when it comes to supper-time meal planning. I have limped along the past few months, making the same-old, same-old chicken and noodle casserole, hamburger helper, tuna what-ever, pizza, eggs, soup, pizza (did I already mention that?!), and I am totally brain-warped. I need some new ideas and FAST!

With band season upon us, I really am looking for ideas for foods that can be prepared ahead of time and served later on, or easy crockpot dishes, etc. I once read a recipe where you take boneless chicken breasts, marinade them in something, then freeze them in bags. But, *sigh,* I lost that recipe. If you haven't noticed, I can be very organized with my couponing, but very un-organized when it comes to preparing foods with the very items that I have stockpiled.

SOOOOO, if any of you have super great ideas for me, please come to my rescue! I need an idea on what to serve for supper tonight! :)

  1. I hear ya sister! I'm so sick of the whole cooking thing I could just scream! If you are looking for something on the cheaper side check out the Hilly Billy Housewife. Some of their recipes are pretty good.

  3. I love AllRecipes.com because you can enter in what ingredients you have and then it will search their database for recipes that include those key ingredients. You can also specify what ingredients you don't want. Just click on the 'Ingredients' tab and start entering ingredients.

  4. Lola...thanks for the AllRecipes.com idea; what an awesome website! I can't wait to try it; I'm going to type in Tyson chicken tenderloins (have in frig) and wild rice (which I have gobs of) and see what comes up! :)
