OH, I'VE....HAD.....THE TIME OF MY LIFE!...NOT! :)

CAPTAINS LOG....BAND CAMP....DAY 7.....

How Star-Trekky is that?! LOL

Anyhow, it is the morning of the 7th day of Band Camp, and I am happy to report, the LAST DAY of Band Camp. As much fun as this has been(?!), I'm relieved that it is almost over. The show is really shaping up nicely, and the weather has, for the most part, cooperated quite well (Thank You Mother Nature!) Today will be a little wild and crazy, though, because it is "Section Spirit Day." My teen son and his Low Brass Section are wearing special t-shirts (I haven't seen them yet!) that they decorated last evening at another teen's house. So, they are Ready and Psyched Up for today! :)

I am on the a.m. and noon drink detail, as well as working in the filing room/office. So, I'll be gopher-ing around today, but that is fine; as long as I am moving around, I won't realize how tired I am. It is also my nephew's birthday, and my SIL and I getting DQ Buster Bars for his section. It works out nicely, because the birthday boy is also a Trombone player, so my son gets in on the treat. He was very happy when he found this out!! Nothing like a Buster Bar on a hot day!

HAPPY HAPPY TERRIFIC THURSDAY

Check out my Mama's new bloggy button!!

Good Morning Everyone in Bloggy Land!! I am soooo happy....Do you want to know why I am sooooo happy! Well, I'll be happy to tell you! LOL!!

It is because I have a beautiful new Button on my blog and a new widget on Entrecard!! Do you see my new button on the right side?? They were designed by Diana of Custom Blog Designs. If you are thinking of re-doing your blog, or would like to do a few little "tweaks" here and there, she is definitely your gal. I found her to be very easy to work with, even though our only communication was by e-mail, because she radiates helpfulness and eager-to-please-ness via the computer. I told her that whenever I am ready to "take the plunge" and re-do my entire blog, I am definitely having her do it!
**************************************

I met the nicest gal at the small-town Walgreens next to my small-town, and I told her that I would post some info on the Coppertone deal that Wags is running this week: So, nice gal, here is the run-down on the deal-i-o:

Coppertone Products get $10 RR WYB 2
-$5 coppertone nutrashield
-$1.50 Coppertone NutraShield SS 5/10/09
-$1.50 Coppertone, any SS 5/10/09

Let me explain the above: The RR WYB 2 stands for "Register Reward When You Buy Two." So, if you purchase 2 Coppertone Products in the same transaction, you will receive a $10 Register Reward at checkout.

To make the deal even sweeter, you can print off a $5.00 coupon, good towards Coppertone NutraShield (using the link that I have provided). If you use your brower's back button, you should be able to print this coupon 2 times. Use either one or two coupons and you'll save an additional $5/$10 dollars at checkout.

The SS stands for Smart Source; these are the coupons that come in the Sunday Newspaper.

Here is the deal scenario that I would use if I had (2) coupons:

  • Purchase 2 Coppertone NutraShield @ $11.50 (I think this was the price at the small-town's Wags) = $23.00

  • Use (2) $5.00 off Coppertone NutraShield Coupons = $10.00

  • Total after coupons will be $13.00

  • Total after $10 Register Rewards will be $3.00
You use the RR in figuring out your total cost, because, basically, Walgreens is paying you to purchase the product. You are getting $10.00 back, so you minus that from your total after coupons.

Even if I didn't have coupons for the Coppertone, I still would purchase it. However, I would purchase the less expensive Coppertone product, like the $9.99 item, buy 2 of them which would equal $20.00 and get back $10.00. So, basically, you are getting one of the Coppertone products FREE, because you are getting back, in register rewards, the price of one of the Coppertone.

Love Giveaways?? I seriously do, and I had to share this one with you that I found this morning. Maygan, over at MayBeFrugal has a Free Skintimate Coupon Giveaway! going on. Hop on over there, post a comment and your e-mail address, and you are entered!

That is all for today!! I have some beautiful green beans, from my garden, that I am going to blanch and freeze, and I also work my shift, 12-3, at the local $.49/$.99 store. If you happen to be in my Small Town, come on over! :)
