BACON WRAPPED CHICKEN BITES and LAYERED SUNDRIED TOMATOES AND ARTICHOKE SPREAD

This was me, yesterday, flying through the store, with only minutes to spare (had to pick up teen daughter from work and teen son from school), and practically yelling, "Where is the canned pumpkin! Where IS IT!!" I was zooming thru the aisles like a mad woman...I'm sure I was a sight! :)

Update! Only 2, count them, TWO! days until Thanksgiving!!

Now that you have been reminded of how many days you have left to panic, I mean plan (HA!), I thought I would share my wonderful appetizer idea that I dreamed up just this morning. And, it does NOT include any of the ingredients of my post title.

Good Grief, Charlie Brown!!

I was on the Kraft Foods website, and I have one question: Who in the world dreamed up those ideas for "easy" appetizers!! Sundried tomatoes? Artichokes? Bacon-wrapped Chicken? I'm not a novice in the kitchen, have faithfully fed my family for 18 years now, completed 6 yrs. of Home-Ec (does that count as cooking experience?!), but I don't think that any recipe with sundried tomatoes counts as an easy appetizer.

Maybe it is just me, but if an appetizer/snack has more than 2 ingredients, doesn't that make it more of a meal?!

So, after carefully pondering my options for, say, 5 seconds, I told hubs that I have the PERFECT appetizer for Thanksgiving. TaDa...Here it is! Take one of the above mentioned crackers, squeeze some of the cheese onto the cracker, put the whole thing into your mouth at one time, and Enjoy!

There you have it! An "original" recipe from A.Marie's House of Easy Cooking! LOL

For those of you who are wonderful chefs, and cook daily with the ingredients that I have sort of made fun of in this post, I would like to know where you live so I can come over to your house for Thanksgiving!! :)

Enjoy your day! I am going to be finishing up my cleaning, getting out my dishes, and focusing on the whole reason for this upcoming holiday event....Thankfulness!!

I'm thankful for all of you bloggy pals!! :)

THRIFTY THURSDAY

GOOD MORNING! I was excited to check my e-mails, and there was one from kraft foods. It appears that their coupons have been re-set, so I was able to print out some more Country Time Lemonade and General Foods International Coffee coupons. Woo-Hoo! Check out the site and print them while they are still available; these coupons go FAST!!!

On the subject of all things thrifty, it has been so lovely and cool here that I haven't had to run the AC. YAY! This means a lovely $$ savings on my bill. Because of the wonderful breezes blowing through the house, it has been very comfortable here. My son has asthma, and when it get hot and humid outside, he finds it very hard to breathe. So, we run the AC for his comfort.

Good Morning! I hope all of you Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day (I know I did!) and are feeling all rested and relaxed! Hubby started my Mother's Day early by going to the town next to ours, on Saturday, and picking up a HUGE bag of birdseed for my bird feeders and some lawn and garden products. Then, he got out the spreader and put some "stuff" on the lawn for the weeds that are taking over. I was so happy! Then, on Mothers Day, he grilled out steak for supper AND cleared off the table. What a guy!!
